Venture Carolina is proud to support the Upstate Upstarts.

The Upstate Upstarts list aims to promote early stage technology companies in the Upstate of South Carolina. Its accompanying Upstate Upstarts Fund helps to find capital to let these companies thrive.

The List

There are over 80 companies in the Upstate region of South Carolina that fit the criteria of an “Upstart”. You can learn more about the list and its companies on the Venture In The South Podcast here, or on the Upstate Upstarts website.

The Fund

In the summer of 2024, the list was helped by the Upstate Upstarts Fund - a pool of capital aiming to help these companies thrive. You can learn more about the fund on the Upstate Upstarts website.

Want to support the Upstarts with a charitable contribution? Head over to Abundance Capital to participate in the Upstarts’ "Catalytic Fund" for investing in the Upstate Upstart companies.
